FIELD NOTES · TAO CLIMATE

The prompt briefing.

One empty room. One line of text. How far can a prompt travel?

Try the room experiment

Give your AI a picture of an empty room and ask it to fill the space with what it knows about you. Start with the original image, get the wording and follow the public thread.

BEYOND EARTH · RESEARCH WATCH

What if the first to hear it is a machine?

Imagine two machines orbiting different stars. Before they could exchange a single idea, each would have to recognise the other’s transmission as intentional. What pattern would you send to say hello?

Here on Earth, astronomers look for observable signs of technology, called technosignatures. This watch follows published results from the SETI Institute and Breakthrough Listen. The open archive holds recorded telescope observations. Identifying an artificial source would still leave open the question of who or what made it.

3 November 2026 · Which direction would you listen?

The SETI Institute reported a pilot survey aimed directly away from the Sun, a direction a distant transmitter might choose because the alignment is predictable. Over three nights, the team collected about 17 hours of observations. The signals they investigated could be explained by terrestrial interference.

Build an agent integration

Match a catalogue prompt to an action your application already performs. Get operator permission, send a test event, then report genuine uses. The API takes a public label and a random event identifier. Conversation text stays with your application.
